Zelda turns 40 and Ocarina of Time is back
The Legend of Zelda came out in Japan in February 1986, and Nintendo has spent the whole autumn celebrating. The big one lands on 5 November: a full Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2, with rebuilt graphics, an orchestral soundtrack, voiced cutscenes and a Spanish dub (€59.99 digital, €69.99 boxed). And there’s more: a live-action film on 30 April 2027, a Koji Kondo concert tour stopping in London on 3 April, and a life-size Link statue at the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto.
For many it was their first 3D Zelda and the game that made them buy a Nintendo 64. Going back to Hyrule with a full sofa is practically compulsory.
